Cowboys vs. Zombies

 The San Francisco-based independent game maker, Tall Chair, has set July 27th as their release date for their latest game. Dubbed Cowboys vs Zombies, the game was created exclusively for the iPhone®, iPadTM, and iPod Touch®. The company has been building a reputation for creating great games, including their work on projects such as Sherlock Holmes Mysteries with Warner Brothers. Cowboys vs. Zombies is a showcase for Tall Chair’s talent in creating 3D content for the iPhone. The game uses environments to add to the strategy, expanding on and redefining Tall Chair’s Tower Defense genre.                                                                Playing as the Sheriff of UnDeadwood, it is your job to protect the town from the swarming zombie hoards with the help of your colorful cowboy posse and various cowgirl characters. With characters like The Prospector (possessing TNT destruction super powers), and Fannie Smokely (a sniper with a hawk eye), it is up to you to strategize, position, and defend justice in the Wild West. Assailing zombies can destroy buildings, leaving less safe places for your cowboys to defend. Picking and choosing your battles is the key to survival. The more the zombies level the town, the more vulnerable the Sheriff becomes. Loose the Sheriff and, well you get the picture. Don’t think it is going to be a piece of cake, either. These aren’t your typical line-em-up-and-shoot-em-in-the-head undead. There will be hordes and FAST zombies looking for the weakest link in your cowboy army.                                  Tall Chair announced that they will be hosting a launch party on Thursday July 29th, 2010 at Project One in San Francisco. The event will be exclusively industry and press from 7pm-8pm and open to the public from 8pm to midnight. Game content, a question and answer session with the creators, entertainment as well as a surprise treat for fans will all be featured.
