Gears of War 3: Decide The Fate Of Carmine

DMG Author:

When you think of Gears of War 3 and you hear the word “Carmine” you think, “How is he going to die next?” The GoW Franchise hasn’t been too easy on the brothers, I would say just ask Anthony or Benjamin but well, they’re dead. With the Gears of War 3 release date drawing ever closer it doesn’t seem to be looking to good for third brother in the trio, Clayton Carmine. Unless, of course you do something about it. Starting July 29th, GoW fans all around the world will be given the opportunity to determine whether Carmine lives to fight another battle or die a painful death. Will you choose life or death for Clayton Carmine? Continue reading to find out how.

For the first time in franchise history, Epic Games and Microsoft are giving fans the chance to decide the fate of a character in Gears of War 3. By purchasing avatar gear on Xbox LIVE Marketplace, fans and gaming communities around the globe will decide the destiny of the newest Carmine brother set to appear in Gears of War 3, with all proceeds going to the Child’s Play Charity.

Clayton Carmine’s introduction will be no different than his other two brothers in the trilogy’s final chapter, and the newest rookie will have just as high of a risk of meeting an early death. However, this time around the Xbox community gets to choose whether Carmine lives or dies by purchasing special Gears of War 3 avatar gear on Xbox LIVE Marketplace. Starting July 29th, two new avatar t-shirts will be available on the Avatar Marketplace on Xbox LIVE; one shirt is going to say “Save Carmine,” and the other will say “Carmine Must Die.” Purchasing the “Save Carmine” shirt is going to cast your vote to let Carmine live. Purchasing the “Carmine Must Die” shirt means you want to see the end of Clayton Carmine, the last of the three brothers. I personally am on the fence about my choice. It wouldn’t be Gears if Carmine didn’t die, on the other hand I wonder how the story would progress if he lived. Something to think about.

If you happen to be lucky enough to be attending Comic-Con you will be able to purchase the actual limited edition t-shirts saying “Save Carmine” or “Carmine Must Die” at the NECA (#3145) for $20. GoW fans will also have the opportunity to play the Gears of War 3 Beast Mode at the Xbox 360 booth (#5153).

*Child’s Play is a community-based games industry charity dedicated to improving the lives of children around the world. Through their network of more than 60 hospitals and through the generosity of their community of donors, Child’s Play raises millions of dollars each year to donate games, consoles, and toys to sick children. The proceeds from the sales of the “Save Carmine” and “Carmine Must Die” avatar gear and limited edition NECA t-shirts will go to Child’s Play, so cast your vote, donate to charity, and get cool Gears of War gear!
