Fans worldwide are strapping on their boots, loading their Lancers, and gearing up for the global launch of Gears of War 3 on September 20, 2011. Adding fuel to the burning anticipation, Epic Games and Microsoft Game Studios today released a new developer ViDoc (Making Gears 3: Wicked Workshop) that reveals the exclusive content of the Gears of War 3 Epic and Limited Editions.
 
The new ViDoc takes you behind the scenes with Chris Perna, Epic’s Art Director, giving fans a window into the visionary mind that helped spawn some of gaming’s most iconic characters and settings.
 
Watch Perna unveil the centerpiece of the Gears of War 3 Epic Edition—a fine collectible statue of Marcus Fenix skillfully designed by Perna and expertly crafted by the artisans at Triforce. Available for preorder now, Gears of War 3 comes in three flavors: a standard edition ($59.99 US) and two special editions:

DIRTY THOUGHT
It's about time Epic released details on the other editions of Gears of War 3 box sets. Everything here sounds great but I must say for those of us that are coughing up $150 on the Epic edition of the game should get way more in-game swag. I mean how many times have we seen the "statue" idea in a limited edition set? Epic please step it up and give us something else aside from 5 skins on guns for in-game content. All we will have to show the community for our die-hard love is 5 skins and i really don't like that. Maybe you guys could create another exclusive character to give us for shelling out so much money. Aside from that the statue is pretty ckool!!!!! Does anyone else feel like those that buy the Epic edition should be given more in-game content?
